Condos & Electric Cars We all have a concern about the rising cost of gas and the effects our cars are having on the envirnment...but I always thought...where does the electricity come from?  We are paying top dollar for a Hybrid - Electric car, if you are a Mississauga Home Owner, you can simply plug it in at night and you are ready to go! But What about the Mississauga Condo owners? As a condo owner you probably have one if not 2 underground parking spots, but they do NOT have access to an electrical outlet. This will pose a huge problem for Mississauga Condo Owners as the debate will arise as to who pays to have the power supplu brought into the underground. If Electric stations underground were to be made available the owners may end up paying collectively for the electrical use for a few.  Even if the Mississaga Condo agreed to provide say 50 electrical spaces this would involve a very complicated "change" in ownership of parking spots and as I could only imagine not everyone would be happy to 'give'up their current spot and have a new spot assigned. So what happens.  Perhaps the "New' Condo builds will have available certain spots for future electric car options. If you are planning on Purchasing a condo in Mississauga or any city for that matter and would like to have an Electric car - do your research and find out if possible and who will pay for the electricity used.
